The E-Way Commuter Rail project is in the final stages of planning & development and preparing to fast-track the launch of the initial 17-mile 5-station Starter Line. This E-Way System segment will restore community connectivity by removing, retrofitting, mitigating, or replacing eligible transportation infrastructure facilities and rail infrastructure. The launch of the Starter Line will serve priority areas such as the 30th Street Industrial Corridor, Valley, Downtown, and Airport in the City of Milwaukee allowing passengers rail access to job centers located to the northwest and south to Oak Creek Station at Drexel Town Square.

This launch could not be timelier and more impactful with a priority investment in Century City for our Operations & Maintenance Facility, Century City Station Warming House & Platform, and the Century City Preserve, an affordable neighborhood housing development. The North Avenue neighborhood redevelopment project includes 144 affordable apartments at North Avenue Station, developing a strong architectural statement at this underutilized but highly valuable transit-oriented site.
